Police have confirmed today that the death of a woman at a property in Drumnadrochit is not being treated as suspicious.

On the morning of Sunday, April 14, police were called to a home at Druimlon following reports of a “sudden death” of a 39-year-old woman.

The property as well as a black vehicle on the street outside were cordoned off by police while inquiries took place.

A cordon remained in place around the semi-detached home, with a police van also stationed outside on Monday.

A forensic team were also at the property gathering evidence.

On Monday a police spokesperson said, “inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

Now, police have confirmed that the woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following a post mortem examination, the death of a 39-year-old woman in the Druimlon area of Drumnadrochit on Sunday, 14 April 2024, is not being treated as suspicious.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
